Mental Health and Wellbeing

At Eastfield Primary Academy, we believe that positive mental health and wellbeing are essential for children to feel safe, build relationships and flourish in their learning.

We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, listened to and able to ask for help. Through positive relationships, consistent routines and age-appropriate teaching, we help children understand their emotions, develop resilience and learn healthy ways of managing difficulties.

We recognise that children may need different levels of support at different times. Staff work closely with pupils, parents and carers to identify concerns early and agree appropriate support. Where needed, we work alongside health, education, social care and other specialist services.

If you are concerned about your child’s mental health or wellbeing, please speak to their class teacher or contact one of our Senior Mental Health Leads: Mrs Jayne Lord, Mrs Caroline Pell or Mrs Kerry Thompson.
